KUALA LUMPUR, March 11 — The ringgit opened firmer against a basket of major currencies but was flat against the US dollar on Wednesday, supported by resilient domestic economic data amid heightened geopolitical tensions and mixed global signals.

At 8 am, the local currency stood unchanged at 3.9200/9355 against the greenback from yesterday’s close of 3.9200/9260.
