FMT in partnership with The Global Institute For Tomorrow (GIFT) brings you Covid-19 “healers” from Romania.
Mountain villages in Romania are beautiful, but for poor families, their remoteness can make life far from easy.

When Romania declared a state of emergency, the elderly were confined to their homes. In response, Conservation Carpathia – a non-governmental organisation – came to their aid.
Their objective is to meet the needs of 10 communities in the Făgăraș Mountains. Over eight weeks, the NGO donated 4,600 packages of essential food and hygiene products.

The campaign was also a lifeline for local businesses that supplied 75% of the products in the packages, providing them with a source of income.
Additionally, the Romanian government is struggling to provide online education to children. They need access to the internet, computers, tutors, and an IT support team capable of solving the multiple issues that can arise from online education.
