Ryder Cup week set to generate US$200mil economic impact

THE Ryder Cup is set to tee off at the end of the month, and the week-long golf event in New York is primed to generate about US$200mil in economic impact, according to the Professional Golfers Association (PGA) of America chief executive officer (CEO) Derek Sprague.
American and European golfers are set to play at New York’s Bethpage Black Golf Course. PGA of America and Ryder Cup Europe co-own and operate the event, held every four years.
