S’pore landlords must pass on rental waivers to tenants with revenue drops under new bill

On Wednesday (26 May), Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat introduced the Fortitude Budget to help Singapore tide through the difficult times ahead.
Amounting to $23.5 billion in total, $2 billion of the Fortitude Budget will go towards local small-and-medium enterprises (SMEs) in the form of rental waivers.

Why makes such a mess, pass directly to tenants,same as JSS, pass to employees directly which already Hv records on cpf

should pass the money to tenants directly and not to landlords cos they will never be honest enough to waive rental.
