Following this incident, CNA reported that the prosecutor on May 6 sought an S$800 fine with no disqualification orders for Zong.

The prosecutor added that Zong had prior traffic violations, including speeding offences in April 2020, June 2020 and September 2023.

CNA reported that District Judge Shawn Ho, noting that Zong had three prior speeding violations and was driving at 51km/h over the speed limit on Aug. 23, 2025, asked the prosecutor if a disqualification order should be imposed.
