S Korea raises chip aid to $23.3b as US plans new tariff rates
South Korea has announced a 33 trillion won (US$23.25 billion) support package for its semiconductor industry, a 25% increase from last year’s 26 trillion won (US$18,31 billion) package.
The funding aims to address uncertainties in US trade policies and growing competition from Chinese chipmakers.
