Guy calls saying he’s changed his number, knows my name.

Context

There’s this guy who has been calling me with different numbers, all this while he has known my name and keeps saying stuff like “oh you don’t remember me isit?”

I’m 99.9% convinced this is a scam, but I just want to see if anyone has a similar experience? This time this guys number is 8277 **** (I can dm the actual number if wanted) and he’s asking me to paynow to *name redacted* 8066 **** because he “forgot he has a supplier delivery and needs $3800”

Paylah/paynow can find your name easily before calling you…

This scam is a low IQ scam.. They search your name by inputting random number into Paynow. They call the number to pretend to be a friend by saying “ ehhh John! Remember me anot? I changed my number, guess who am I?”after a few back and forth he will ask u Tf him money. Rly f-ing stupid, but ppl still fall for it

I got a similar call yesterday, not my first time receiving such a call, i wasnt in a good mood yesterday. So he ask if i remember him, and please save the number.Me: Yes, i remember you, ok i save already.Him: You remember me?Me: Yes of course.Him: Who am i?Me: I know you owe me money, scam money right, now pay me back CB.He ended the call. I actually call him back, and say CB, you owe me money dont want pay back?I think he was taken aback, he said i only ask you to save my number. Then he end the call.
