SERT: Tariffs are likely here to stay; Singapore in discussion with US

While Singapore is in discussion with US counterparts to better understand the expectations, we must be prepared for a longer period of uncertainty over tariffs on specific countries or products.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry, Gan Kim Yong, was updating the media on the work of the Singapore Economic Resilience Taskforce (SERT) on 10 July 2025.

Whenever there are tax, tariff, gst (or whatever name that associates with either these terminologies) it is always good news for the authorities but bad news for the citizens. We do not need GKY to explain further. He can rest in his job lah.
