SG loyalty platform HeyMax acquires HK fintech firm krip

Singapore-based loyalty platform HeyMax has acquired krip, a fintech platform in Hong Kong, to strengthen its presence in the regional loyalty and rewards sector.
This acquisition is HeyMax’s first and aims to facilitate its entry into Hong Kong, a significant financial and travel hub.
Founded in 2022, krip aggregates over 6,000 credit card deals from more than 3,000 merchants.
It provides users with a centralized platform for managing card benefits.
As part of the acquisition, krip’s CEO David B. Wang will join HeyMax as Global Head of Loyalty Partnerships and General Manager of Hong Kong.
Benjamin Quinlan, the former chairman of krip, will become Senior Advisor of Financial Services Partnerships at HeyMax.
The krip brand will be discontinued, and existing users will transition to HeyMax, gaining access to its travel and rewards offerings.
