Las Vegas entrepreneur Michael Rutherford took to Instagram to share his “perfect flight” experience on SIA, complete with a heartwarming video of a flight attendant in the iconic blue batik uniform diligently spoon-feeding his five-year-old son.

The clip, which has racked up over 432,000 likes at the time of writing, shows the attendant, sporting a sanitary glove, gently feeding the little prince his airplane meal. Rutherford gushed, “What would you do? This just made our flight even more perfect! It was amazing!!!!”

Not everyone agreed, though. Some defended Rutherford, saying his son deserved a special treat. “So sweet,” one commented, “Maybe she offered to avoid the mess! Let him have his moment.” Another cheered, “Little man is living his best life! Kudos to the awesome flight attendant!”

Rutherford clarified to Business Insider that the spoon-feeding was the attendant’s initiative, not a request. “She offered to help him and showed so much kindness,” he said. “He engaged with her, and it was just one part of a long flight.”
