Kitefoiler Maximilian Maeder and wushu exponent Zeanne Law have achieved a rare feat by winning the Singapore Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year respectively. They are the first athletes in over two decades to claim both the junior and senior gongs in consecutive years.
Similarly, table tennis player Izaac Quek will go down in history as the first local-born Singaporean to join the China Table Tennis Super League when he makes his debut with Anhui Zhongcheng in July.
