Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advise more than anything.

Just be nice bc I have anxiety and honestly think that’s why I feel so bad about it. Anyway, here’s the story.

About a week ago I (25f) got COVID, I let my job know and they said I needed to follow some guidelines and stay out for 5 days, you know the drill. Well that was last week, yesterday on day 6, I retested and I was still positive and I felt awful.

I had a fever and really bad stomach issues, like a bathroom every hour type of deal. Well I let work know I wasn’t feeling well and again they were nice about it. Here’s the thing, I woke up today and my fever is gone but I still feel like I’m going to die.

Work-wise, it’s a job that you can mostly do at work and not much at home. They have someone covering me and they have that coverage until today, tomorrow there would be no one.

My supervisor gave me a comment that some of the staff had to work overtime and I feel so guilty.

Now here’s where I need the advice, am I a bad person if I miss work today to make sure I really do feel well?

I tested negative for the first time and it’s just my stomach issues that are bugging me and a slight body ache, nothing too intense. I feel like a piece of crap missing work and I feel so guilty not being there. I feel thinking they’re going to think I’m taking advantage of them, but I genuinely am sick.

Would I be the a bad person if I return tomorrow and not today? If so, what can I tell them?
