On August 21, Salesforce said it is expanding Headless 360 across its platform.
AI agents with the right permissions can securely discover and use business capabilities through the open Model Context Protocol (MCP). Slack integration is also part of the rollout.
The update includes the Headless 360 MCP Server in open beta.
The Data 360 MCP Server, Slackbot MCP client, Salesforce Multi-framework, Headless Commerce, and a repository of more than 100 reusable skills are generally available.
Salesforce said the expansion covers its cloud products, including marketing, sales, service, and commerce, as well as MuleSoft, Informatica, and Tableau. The Headless Experience Layer remains in open beta.
Salesforce said the Data 360 and Tableau MCP servers bring AI, data, and analytics into Slack.
Slack documentation said Slackbot can connect to Salesforce through MCP.
MCP was introduced by Anthropic and has a published specification.
Microsoft also documented how agents connect to MCP endpoints.
