Savannah Chrisley Shares Chloe Chrisley’s Reaction to Parents’ Trump Pardon
Chloe Chrisley is worried this news is too good to be true.
Following the confirmation that President Donald Trump is set to issue a pardon to Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley over their 2021 tax fraud and evasion convictions, their daughter Savannah Chrisley shared how the couple’s adopted 12-year-old daughter Chloe reacted to the news.
“Chloe, I think, is still in shock,” Savannah told NewsNation’sLeland Vittertduring On Balance May 28 of the 12-year-old, of whom she’d become a primary guardian for following her parents’ incarceration. “She doesn't want to get her hopes up, because she feels like something bad is going to is going to happen. But I'm excited to be going to get my dad and bringing him home to her. We're excited.”
Chloe is the biological daughter of Todd’s son Kyle Chrisley, whom the reality star shares with ex Teresa Terry. Todd and Julie adopted Chloe in 2016 while Kyle—who has been estranged from his father in recent years—was struggling with substance abuse.
Following the news of his parents’ pardon, Kyle told E! News he was “ecstatic” over the announcement, noting in his May 27 statement, “I just found out a little bit ago and I still just can't believe it."
In addition to praising Savannah’s diligent work in helping bring her parents home, Kyle also shared his hopes for the future.
"I know they can't wait to get home and just be with family," the 33-year-old added, "and I'm going to remain hopeful that another reconciliation is possible."
In the hours since Trump’s call to Savannah confirming his intention to pardon her parents, the 27-year-old has shared how she’s preparing for Julie and Todd’s homecoming.
“We’re getting some clothes together for mom and dad,” she shared in a May 27 Instagram video. “Getting their room put together upstairs. And I’m just speechless. I can’t thank you guys enough for sticking with my family along the way and for loving us and supporting us.”
And, much like Chloe, the Unlocked podcast host expressed her disbelief that her efforts were finally coming to fruition.
“It still doesn’t feel real,” she admitted. “I’m gonna go and prepare to go pick up my parents. And I just can’t thank you guys enough. They’re coming home. My parents get to start their lives over. They get to start their lives over with a clean slate.”
