School canteen food prices set to rise, after MOE revises pricing guidelines in response to higher costs

SINGAPORE — Students in primary, secondary and junior colleges may be paying higher canteen food prices, after the Ministry of Education (MOE) recently revised the school canteen pricing guidelines. 

TODAY understands that the last time the guidelines were revised was in 2018, and that the increase allowed under the new guidelines will be less than S$1 across the primary, secondary schools and junior colleges.
