Scientex's FY26 earnings rise to RM620.17mil, declares 6c div/share
KUALA LUMPUR: Scientex Bhd
ended its financial year on July 31, 2026, with a higher bottomline, underpinned by improved contribution from both its packaging and property divisions.
The group said in a stock exchange filing, net profit in FY26 rose to RM620.17mil from RM530.75mil in the previous year as revenue grew to RM4.81bil from RM4.52bil in FY25.
Packaging revenue increased 5.1% to RM2.61bil due to overall improvement in market sentiment during the current financial year, coupled with improved margins driven by prevailing market conditions, favourable product mix, and operational efficiency.
In the property segment, revenue increased 8.3% to RM2.2bil in FY26, mainly attributable to higher sales, supported by record unit sales during the 12-month period under review.
Scientex declared a final dividend of six per share with an entitlement date of Jan 5, 2027, and payable on Jan 21, 2027.
Despite the improved results in FY26, the group said its packaging business continues to operate in a challenging market environment, with geopolitical tensions and global uncertainties driving volatility in energy and raw material prices.
"We will continue to invest in expanding our capacity and upgrading our facilities to strengthen operational efficiency and competitiveness, while exploring strategic M&A opportunities in the region," said Scientex CEO Lim Peng Jin in a statement.
Meanwhile, the group's property division continues to see healthy demand for affordable housing, with positive market reception to its FY26 launches totalling RM2.83bil.
According to Lim, the group has completed 47,800 affordable homes across Peninsular Malaysia and is progressing its our Vision 2028 goal of 50,000 homes. "Our focus is on rolling out more launches across our latest townships,” he added.
