Good news for Game of Thrones fans, because it looks as if a second prequel series is in early development at HBO, Variety reports.

The new series is to be based on Tales of Dunk and Egg, a series of novellas written by George R.R. Martin.

The books, of which there are three - The Hedge Knight, The Sworn Sword, and The Mystery Knight - follow the various adventures of Ser Duncan the Tall, otherwise known as Dunk, and Aegon V Targaryen, the titular Egg.
