Selangor Sultan receives RM7.65mil in zakat contributions

SHAH ALAM: The Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, officiated a ceremony at Masjid Raja Bendahara Tengku Badar Shah to receive business zakat (tithes) amounting to RM7.65 million from four companies.
The four contributors are Tenaga Nasional Bhd (RM3.39 million); Amanah Hartanah Bumiputera (RM1.86 million); CIMB Islamic Bank Bhd (RM1.2 million); and Safeguards Secure Solution Sdn Bhd (RM1.2 million).
His Royal Highness accepted the zakat contributions during the iftar ceremony with the people, Hari Raya contribution presentation, and the official opening of Masjid Raja Bendahara Tengku Badar Shah.
