Taiwanese star Selina Jen has been keeping a low profile since she welcomed her first child, a boy she nicknamed “Little Cashew", in 2023.

Little Cashew is Selina's baby with her boyfriend, who's known as Little Syu. The 43-year-old's current beau is seven years her junior and is not in showbiz. She was previously married to Taiwanese lawyer Richard Chang, 51, from 2011 to 2016.

Despite not making public appearances anymore, Selina was spotted attending her good pal and former co-host Na Dou's wedding last week (May 25) and at fellow ex-S.H.E member Hebe Tien's concert with Little Cashew and Little Syu last month.

While her fans were definitely happy to see her, her haters, however, had nothing but mean things to say.

For starters, many criticised her for her weight gain, and one even remarked that she's "lost her figure". 

Some even brought up Selina's tragic on-set accident in 2010 where she suffered third-degree burns on more than 54 per cent of her body.

"Her voice and body both can't make it anymore," mocked one heartless hater.

The unkind comments eventually became so rampant that an enraged fan had to share a post on their socials to defend Selina.

"Selina's heart is already so strong, she's way above those who only know how to leave negative comments while hiding behind the keyboard," condemned said fan.

They also recounted the hardships the star had to go through during her recovery journey. 

The fan's post went on to be noticed by Selina's parents, former Taiwanese star Milton Jen and Cheng Jui-lan, who were moved to tears by the kind act.

"We teared uncontrollably while reading the post. How could someone understand S so well, thank you!," they gushed.

Selina's folks also assured that she has been well and living life to her fullest, adding that she will always be their "precious daughter whom they love the most". 

Ignore the haters, Selina, we think you're beautiful just the way you are.
