5 Aug - Four years after their initial wedding plans had to be postponed, Shara Lin recently revealed that she and non-showbiz husband Tony were finally able to celebrate their marriage with family and friends.

Sharing several photos from their reception held at the Le Meridien Taipei recently, the singer-actress posted, "Our wedding, originally scheduled for July 2021, was postponed due to the pandemic. When things finally eased, we decided to hold it in June 2022. But then, right after we sent out the invitations, a second wave of the pandemic hit. A few months later, we thought we'd postpone it to November, and then... sure enough, the pandemic suddenly worsened again, so we cancelled it again."

"It wasn't really necessary, but things kept getting delayed, and the deposit has been tied up in various places for four years now. About two months ago, I decided to revisit the plan. So, I contacted the hotel to see if they had a Saturday night available. It happened to be open on 2 August, so we decided to go ahead with it," she said.

Admitting that even her parents were surprised that they were holding a wedding, Shara said that she is happy that her family and friends finally received their wedding invitations and that she finally completed "the project" with everyone.

"A big part of the reason for doing this was because I didn't want to have any regrets when thinking about it in the future," she expressed. "I wanted to take advantage of this moment, with the loved ones and important people around me, to share this joy with everyone. Thank you."
