When Singapore launched the Beverage Container Return Scheme (BCRS) on Apr 1, some consumers complained about the hassle to reclaim the 10-cent deposit charged on eligible bottled and canned drinks.
One Singaporean, however, has proven just how far she's willing to go to get her 10 cents back.
A local preschool teacher recently documented her nine-day Australian holiday with an unlikely travel companion — a plastic beverage bottle.

Sounds silly, making a plastic bottle a star feature throughout her holiday. Seems more like attention-seeking. Why be a slave to a bottle for just 10 cents I cannot fully understand. Can someobe bright explain, pls?

Sg more talented person who invented this stupid machine maybe knowing some tourist might drink and throw away the bottle like that can earn extra. imagine how many tourist visiting sg a years 10¢ each wah high profit seah...

A very stupid idea by our stupid multi million dollar minister ! Waste of time & resources. I salute U for bringing that bottle tru your whole holiday just for that 10 cts refund. It's very stupid & silly. Many including myself would just throw it away !
