A chance encounter in London turned into a full-circle moment for one of Eddie Peng's longtime fans.

The 44-year-old Taiwanese actor was recently approached by a Malaysian female fan who has supported him for the past 13 years.

After snapping a photo with Eddie and getting him to sign her scrubs, she took to Instagram to share the touching story of how the star unknowingly inspired her to pursue her dreams.

Little did she expect that her post would catch Eddie’s attention, prompting the usually low-key actor to leave a rare, lengthy reply in both Chinese and English.

The fan revealed that she first became an Eddie Peng fan in 2013 after watching his boxing film Unbeatable at the age of 13.

Inspired by the resilience and discipline of his mixed martial arts fighter character, she even signed up for boxing classes.

The film's iconic line, "If you're afraid, you've already lost," became the motto that carried with her through life.

Inspired by the movie, she signed up for boxing classes and found the courage to pursue her own ambitions. Looking back, she admitted she was both hopeful and fearful about the future, but never gave up on the dream of becoming a doctor.

Today, she is a surgeon working in the UK.

Although she had imagined what she'd say if she ever met Eddie, she admitted she was so overwhelmed during their chance encounter on the streets of London that she could barely get the words out. Instead, she simply asked for a photo and had him sign her scrubs.

Alongside photos from their meeting, she also shared a picture of her 13-year-old self posing with an Unbeatable movie poster.

The story moved Eddie, who commented: "Thank you for sharing your story. I'm truly touched. I want to follow your example and be as brave as you are," he wrote.

He thanked her for her years of support and said it was an honour to have played even a small part in her journey, adding: "I hope that the next time we meet, we'll both be standing at even greater heights. I wish you all the best in becoming an outstanding surgeon — helping save lives and bringing light to many more people."

Eddie then added another message in English: "Oh wait, one more thing. What's truly admirable isn't that you've supported me for 13 years. It's that you've never given up on your own dream."

The exchange quickly went viral, with many netizens calling it "the true meaning of being a fan" and praising both the fan's inspiring journey and Eddie's heartfelt response.
