KUALA LUMPUR: The Dewan Rakyat descended into chaos today after a shouting match erupted between members of parliament over the issue of an insufficient quorum in the chamber.

Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin (PN-Masjid Tanah) raised the matter before beginning her debate on the motion of thanks for the Royal Address, citing Standing Order 13(1), which stipulates that at least 26 MPs must be present for proceedings to continue.
