Singapore, Malaysia to discuss reopening of border on May 4 during Muhyiddin's visit

KLUANG (THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK) - The leaders of Malaysia and Singapore will discuss, among other things, the reopening of the border when they meet in Singapore on May 4, said Malaysian Foreign Minister Hishammuddin Hussein.
Datuk Seri Hishammuddin also said the Covid-19 pandemic is making it difficult for Malaysia to send a representative to fill the High Commissioner position in Singapore, which has been vacant for a year now.

Wanted all Singaporeans to take vaccine now going to open border, sure Singaporeans going to face it n affected once Open the boarder. The government's know to say after vaccinated will be affected COVID19 Virus too, then wanted to open boarder 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️

With thousand over cases still in Malaysia, it’s very unlikely Singapore will agree to any reopening. MFA already told Indonesia that they have to achieve covid cases somewhat similar to Singapore’s before any reopening agreement can be reach.
