Singaporean woman sentenced to more than 31 years’ jail in Taiwan for helping scam syndicate

A Singaporean woman who was previously arrested in Taiwan has been sentenced by two counties there to a total of more than 31 years in prison for her involvement in nearly 30 incidents of fraud and money laundering.
The woman was identified in court papers in the Yunlin and Changhua counties, published respectively on Oct 17 and 21, as Kek Hui Ting. Her age was not given in the court papers, but the district prosecutor’s office had said in April that she was 27 then.
