PETALING JAYA: S. Sivasangari picked up a prized scalp on her way to the quarter-finals when she stunned Egypt’s world No. 12 Rowan Elaraby 11-7, 11-7, 11-3 in the Manchester Open.

The 36th ranked and Malaysia’s women No. 2 player took the first two games in relative comfort against an out-of-sorts Elaraby, who was hampered by a hamstring injury.
