Six elephants decapitated in Sabah since July 2024, ivory demand suspected

KOTA KINABALU (April 9): Six elephants have been decapitated in Sabah since July 2024, suspected to be driven by market demand, according to the director of the Sabah Wildlife Department, Soffian Abu Bakar.
Although investigations are still ongoing and no solid evidence has been found to bring the suspects to court, efforts will continue to uncover the perpetrators behind these brutal elephant killings since last year.
