Dec 24 (Reuters) - Algeria captain ‌Riyad Mahrez said his two goals in Wednesday's 3-0 win ‌over Sudan in Africa Cup of Nations Group E were ‌not a response to his critics.

Forward Mahrez, who plays for Al Ahli in Saudi Arabia after moving from Manchester City, struck twice in Rabat, Morocco before Ibrahim Maza netted ‍his first international goal.
