The Ministry of Transport is already studying the mobility of citizens, especially movements of more than 500 metres, both during the State of Emergency which currently runs until April 26 and in the subsequent de-escalation phase. Early results show that on April 10, at Easter, 31.5 million Spaniards did not move beyond that distance, more than double the 14.6 million that did not do so before confinement. General Secretary for Transport, María José Rallo confirmed the Ministry is taking advantage of the experience it already had in carrying out studies on mobility and demand for transport based on data from mobile phones to study the data corresponding to coronavirus crisis.
