Figures released by the Ministry of Health this morning show there have now been 22,524 deaths from COVID-19 since the pandemic began. The number of infections is 219,764, which represents an increase of 6,740 positives in 24 hours. This is a significantly higher figure than those registered in recent days but is being attributed to more testing in the community. The number of people cured has reached 92,355, which is 3,105 more than Thursday.
