KUALA LUMPUR: The 2026 Malaysia Games (Sukma), hosted by the state of Selangor, will proceed as planned following the consent of the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.

In a statement on Sunday (April 26), the Ministry of Youth and Sports said His Royal Highness agreed to the Games from Aug 15-24 with cost-saving measures and prudent spending in place, following an audience with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on April 23.
