Star Wars fans could be in for an extra treat in the new movie – Mark Hamill has teased that there may be a surprise appearance from none other than Harry Styles.

The One Direction star has dipped his toe in the acting world in the past few years, and it looks like he may even have bagged a cameo in Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker.

Mark Hamill, who plays Luke Skywalker, appeared to confirm that Harry stars as a storm trooper in the new movie, teasing fans that it may be the Watermelon Sugar star in the iconic costume.

He tweeted: ‘Tonight #TheRiseOfSkywalker Premiere finally brings closure to my dysfunctional family! Wonder who’ll be the #SecretStormtrooper in this one?

‘Considering they’ve all been UK Superstars (2 Royals+2 Actors) but still no singer, all the clues point in one direction: #Stylestrooper’.

He added a photo of Harry in a Stormtrooper outfit into the tweet – and fans couldn’t work out whether the image was a mock up or not.

It comes after Harry previously went for the role of young Han Solo in Ron Howard’s movie Solo, but the role eventually was given to Alden Ehrenreich.

Daniel Craig, Tom Hardy and Prince William and Prince Harry have all donned the white suits with the full helmet to make sneaky appearances in the films – though it’s said the Princes’ scenes were cut because they were too tall.

The movie will be released on Thursday, 19 December and fans have already started queueing up in London’s Leicester Square ahead of Wednesday’s premiere.
