The adage “It takes a village to raise a child” is not only a statement about family but also a reminder of the support we receive in pursuing our dreams — and Sterling K. Brown recently got a powerful reminder of this. 

While making an appearance on “The Drew Barrymore Show” on Wednesday, Brown reflected on the journey that brought him from Stanford University to our movie screens and into our homes. He recounted how he initially attended Stanford as an economics major, believing that he had to make a “financial contribution” to his family.
