SIBU (March 20): Eleven persons including five pupils from SJKC Yong Seng were evacuated to higher ground after floodwaters inundated Jalan Stabau here this morning.

Sibu Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) chief Andy Alie said seven personnel from the Sibu Jaya fire station were deployed to the school, located about 17km away, after an emergency call was received at 10am.
