PARIS, March 27 — Being alert to various forms of social injustice could increase the risk of exposure to anxiety and even depression, according to recent research from Finland.

If you’re committed to defending the rights of women, ethnic minorities and/or LGBTQIA+ people, and more broadly in the fight against social injustice, then it’s safe to say you’re “woke.” Derived from the verb “to wake,” this term originally referred to the idea of waking up to racial discrimination.
