No longer content with producing hairstyling gadgets, multinational technology company Dyson is now turning its attention to hair, with itsdebut line-up of beauty products.
The new range, Dyson Chitosan, promises to bring the brand’s signature blend of innovation and technology to haircare. At the heart of the formula is chitosan, a biopolymer derived from oyster mushrooms. This key ingredient offers a flexible, long-lasting hold – without the stickiness, brittleness or crunch often associated with traditional styling products.
Dyson’s Pre-Style Cream ($79) comes in four formulas tailored to different hair types. The cream protects hair from heat and helps it take on a style more easily, ensuring it remains soft and smooth after styling.
The Post-Style Serum ($79) is designed to lock in moisture and smooth hair after styling. Formulated with hyaluronic acid and amino acids, it absorbs quickly to keep hair sleek and its anti-humidity barrier helps prevent frizz and flatness.
The bottles are engineered to provide precision dosing, dispensing exactly 0.22ml with each pump. This eliminates the guesswork, preventing wastage and overuse, making your styling routine more efficient. The bottles are also refillable.

Sekkisei's Mild Peel Care Serum is said to condition and hydrate the skin, smoothing out rough patches and leaving your complexion brighter. PHOTO: SEKKISEI
Japanese skincare brand Sekkisei has added two new products to its Clear Wellness line, meant for sensitive skin, which debuted in 2023. The brand is part of Japanese beauty giant Kose Group.
The Mild Peel Care Serum and Airy Skin Veil BB Essence are gentle, lightweight additions to a range that is all about sustainability and skin health.
The Mild Peel Care Serum ($42 for 30ml) is made for those craving silky-smooth skin without the irritation of traditional peels. Formulated with plant extracts, this non-peeling serum is said to condition and hydrate the skin, smoothing out rough patches and leaving your complexion brighter.
Meanwhile, the Airy Skin Veil BB Essence ($29 for 30ml) is a BB cream that gives you breathable coverage while blocking ultraviolet rays, blue light and environmental stressors. It is said to offer natural-looking coverage for pores, redness and discoloration, leaving you with a fresh, even finish.
Like other products in the line – which includes creams and cleansers – the new offerings feature Itowa, a proprietary blend of natural ingredients sourced from Japan. This complex promises not just enhanced skin clarity, but also a stronger moisture barrier, while keeping the planet in mind with eco-friendly packaging and a sustainable approach.
