KAJANG: The remains of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) Reserve Officers Training Unit (Palapes) cadet Syamsul Haris Shamsudin were reburied late this afternoon at the Kampung Rinching Ulu Islamic Cemetery in Semenyih, Selangor.

Several family members were seen waiting outside the cemetery, along with media personnel.

Syamsul Haris' mother was seen walking out of the cemetery at 6.48pm, accompanied by the family's lawyer and some other family members.

A team of police officers and personnel were stationed around the cemetery to maintain security and control the area.

Earlier, the second post-mortem on Syamsul Haris's remains was completed at the National Institute of Forensic Medicine (IPFN) at Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL) at around 4pm.

The hearse carrying his remains left the IPFN compound at 5.18pm.
