3 Jun - Syasya Rizal recently denied the notion that she left DOLLA and got married soon after was so that she could fly overseas with her husband as he pursues his studies.

The 24-year-old singer, who was asked about the trip abroad recently, said that the statement did not come from her but from her grandmother, veteran actress Rozie Othman.

"The story about going abroad for studies came from my grandma. She was nervous at the time and I understand the situation that she was facing," she said.

Syasya said that Rozie was just saying what's best at the time and that she will always love her grandmother for trying to protect her.

"I have never said anything about studying abroad myself. Never in any interview or official statement. You can check if you want," she added.

The singer said that though she is still no longer with DOLLA, she will return to singing again while also adapting as a young mother.

Syasya surprised many by announcing her departure from her idol group back in April 2024 and then shocked many again by announcing her marriage to husband Nasrullah in the same month.

She later gave birth to her first son in December, and named him Muhammad Yassir Hayyan.
