Taiwan was rocked by a series of earthquakes overnight on April 22 into the early hours of April 23, with the Central Weather Administration saying the strongest was a magnitude-6.3 tremor originating in eastern Hualien. This comes after the magnitude-7.4 quake that hit on April 3, killing at least 17 people.
