There's no denying that the advancement in artificial intelligence is a double-edged sword. 

There are those who use it for breakthroughs in medicine, science or education. Then there are those who use it for crime.

Taiwanese CEO-slash-influencer Bambi Hsia is the founder of Taiwanese skincare brand HBD and has a self-proclaimed net worth of at least TW$100mil (S$4.2mil). 

The 29-year-old is known for flaunting her wealth and her voluptuous figure on social media.

Recently, she found herself making headlines when a sex tape featuring a woman who looks like her was circulated online.

Bambi took to her Instagram Stories to say that her face has been edited onto a sex tape using AI technology. 

“You guys don't have to worry about me, everyone seems to be more anxious than I am," she said, adding that it's not the first time she had encountered something like that.

"I receive this kind of videos and photos all the time. [They] would edit the videos using AI and then extort me for money," she claimed. 

Bambi then asserted that her legal team has been collating evidence from various social media platforms and are already taking action against the perpetuators.
