Taobao Malaysia has officially kicked off its 618 Mid-Year Sale with a major update: the app is now available in Bahasa Melayu, alongside English and Chinese

The brand new Taobao interface is now available in Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Mandarin for all Malaysians to have a more efficient and enjoyable shopping experience.

This new feature makes it easier for more Malaysians to browse, shop, and enjoy deals in the language they're most comfortable with.The update is part of Taobao's continued effort to offer a better, more localised shopping experience for Malaysians.You can also enjoy new app features, including:

Image Search: Snap or upload a photo to find similar items using AI-powered image recognition

Coins Cashback: Earn coin rewards and cashback by checking in daily or buying from selected sellers offering free shipping

Exclusive New User Perk: First-time shoppers can grab special items starting from just RMB 1 (about RM0.62)

To celebrate this milestone, the Taobao 618 Mid-Year Sale will be running from 8pm on 28 May to 11.59pm on 20 June

In 2020 and 2022, Taobao worked with state governments and training institutions to launch LiveNOW, a livestream KOL training programme.
