2025 became the year that ended an era: the era of the iconic friendship between Taylor Swift and Blake Lively; all due to the ongoing It Ends With Us legal battle. But now that Swift’s subpoena has been dropped by Justin Baldoni‘s legal team, it seems she went out to celebrate on a rare outing with beau Travis Kelce.

In case you missed it, Lively’s rep confirmed to Peopleon May 22 that the subpoena sent to Swift was withdrawn by Baldoni’s legal team; and it seems as though Swift went out to celebrate. In photos obtained by TMZ, many could see that Swift and Kelce were having a date at Harry’s Bar & Restaurant in West Palm Beach on May 23, one day after the legal news broke.

Not only was this Swift’s first sighting since this news broke, but it also confirmed that she’s been continuing to live with Kelce amid his football training.

For the past few months, Kelce and Swift, who have been dating since July 2023, have been keeping a low profile, especially after her Eras tour ended and after the 2025 Super Bowl. However, this legal issue threw a wrench in the whole plan, putting Swift back in headlines for her alleged former pal’s battle.

Back in Dec 2024, Lively sued Baldoni for sexual harassment and a retaliatory smear campaign in a civil suit, which The New York Times wrote about. There are about five suits in total between Baldoni and Lively, and from the start, Swift was dragged into it with Baldoni’s countersuit. Right off the bat, she was reportedly annoyed with it, and wanted out; and now she’s officially out of the legal issues.

Lively’s rep told People, “We supported the efforts of Taylor’s team to quash these inappropriate subpoenas directed to her counsel, and we will continue to stand up for any third party who is unjustly harassed or threatened in the process.” They added, “Exploiting Taylor Swift’s celebrity was the original plan in Melissa Nathan’s scenario planning document, and it continues to this day. Faced with having to justify themselves in federal court, they folded. At some point, they will run out of distractions from the actual claims of sexual harassment and retaliation they are facing.”
