Team8 leads $12m series A for US-based company C8 Health
C8 Health, an Israel and US-based company developing an AI platform to make clinical information more accessible for medical teams, has raised US$12 million in series A funding.
The round was led by Team8, with participation from 10D and Vertex Ventures Israel.
This brings C8 Health’s total funding to US$18 million, following a previous US$6 million seed round.
Founded in 2022, C8 Health offers a platform that integrates with hospital systems and allows clinical staff to retrieve medical guidelines and information in real time.
The company said its AI interface lets users ask questions in natural language and access their institution’s verified medical knowledge base.
C8 Health reports that its platform is currently used by more than 100 hospitals.
The firm employs 25 people across Israel and the US, with additional offices in Europe and a sales arm in the US.

C8 Health’s focus on real-time clinical guidance addresses a fundamental problem: it typically takes 17 years for new care standards to be widely adopted across healthcare systems1.
This adoption lag helps explain why care inconsistency leads to $345 billion in annual waste in the U.S. alone, as mentioned in C8’s funding announcement.
The company’s rapid expansion to over 100 hospitals demonstrates strong demand for solutions that can bridge this knowledge gap more quickly1.
Healthcare institutions often struggle with fragmented information systems where critical guidelines exist but remain difficult to access during crucial patient care moments.
C8’s approach of integrating directly with electronic medical records and providing natural language AI interfaces represents a practical solution to make institutional knowledge immediately accessible to clinicians.
The healthcare AI sector is experiencing explosive growth, with the global market valued at $19.27 billion in 2023 and projected to grow at 38.5% annually through 20302.
This rapid expansion creates substantial opportunities for companies like C8 that focus on specific healthcare challenges rather than broad AI applications.
Research suggests AI could save 5-10% of U.S. healthcare spending, potentially worth US$200-360 billion annually3.
Administrative efficiency represents a particularly large opportunity, with AI potentially saving US$265 billion annually just in administrative costs4.
C8’s positioning in clinical knowledge management places it within this high-growth administrative efficiency category, where demand for AI solutions continues to accelerate as hospitals seek to reduce operational costs while improving care quality.
