The Capitol in Bandar Utama unveils first batch of tenants ahead of Nov 16 opening
PETALING JAYA: The Capitol, an integrated mixed-use development by 1 Utama City Group in Bandar Utama, has announced its first batch of tenants ahead of its soft opening on Nov 16.
In a statement, the group said the development would house retail outlets, restaurants, offices, healthcare facilities and recreational spaces.
Located next to the LRT3 Shah Alam Line's BU11 station, the 215m-tall development comprises two Grade A office towers above a six-level retail and lifestyle podium.
Among the confirmed tenants are Kiwami Ramen & Gyoza Bar, Bean Brothers, Galito's, Fowlboys Diner, Qra and SE'INDONESIA, which will make its Malaysian debut.
Other tenants include coworking operator Common Ground, childcare provider Cutie Cottage, Guardian and PUMP Fitness.
1 Utama City Group executive chairman Tan Sri Teo Chiang Kok said the development was intended to bring together offices, dining, healthcare and other services in one location.
"The Capitol reflects that vision by bringing together quality workplaces, curated dining, healthcare, wellness and lifestyle experiences within one integrated destination.
“As we prepare to open this November, we are pleased to welcome a thoughtfully curated mix of brands and look forward to seeing The Capitol become a place where people can work, connect and enjoy everyday life,” he said.
The development will also house Health Capitol, a healthcare facility comprising more than 120 medical practitioners across various specialties.
Its Level 16 recreational floor will feature pickleball and badminton courts, alongside a 10,000 sq ft event hall known as SkyHall, which is scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2027.
The Capitol will also incorporate smart building management systems, energy-efficient features and electric vehicle charging facilities.
The group said the development was targeting GreenRE Platinum certification.
More tenants are expected to be announced ahead of the development's grand opening.
