The Vanishings has been airing on Channel 5 and the crime thriller series, itially called The Vanishing Triangle, is based on a true story about a number of high-profile disappearances in Ireland.

In the late 80s and 90s, a number of women with similar traits mysteriously vanished and their whereabouts remain unknown to this day. The series follows India Mullen as Lisa Wallace, an investigative journalist haunted by her mother's murder.
