Known for its beautiful pyramids, Egypt is now taking measures to boost its tourism. The African country is planning to revamp the Pyramids of Giza, which are visited by many tourists every year. 

However, the world’s most famous ancient site has previously left many travellers upset.  For years, the UNESCO World Heritage Site has been plagued by poor management, unregulated and aggressive vendors, and reports of animal cruelty. Overcrowding at the site tarnished many tourists’ experiences of the Giza Plateau.
