Organised as part of the Autonomy trade show in Paris, the Startup Challenge rewarded international innovations contributing to the advance of sustainable mobility. Here are the seven winners for 2024.

Smarter car-sharing

Danish startup Nabogo intends to revolutionise the car-sharing concept by making it more accessible and directly integrated into the public transport offer. The idea is to complement existing transport networks by offering pick-up points at major stations and terminus points. In addition to Denmark, Nabogo is now also present in Norway, Sweden and the Netherlands.

Evaluating the risks of autonomous driving

British firm d(risk) is working on innovative solutions to improve the performance and safety of connected and partly autonomous vehicles. Using artificial intelligence, the startup offers online tools to simulate unexpected driving situations that could lead to accidents. To do this, its platform is equipped with an impressive amount of geolocalised data, which the AI adapts to every possible type of incident, with the emphasis on protecting the driver and passengers. Today, its services are used by automakers and insurance companies alike.
