The internet sings jeremy allen White’s praises in first look trailer for bruce springsteen biopic
The trailer for the Bruce Springsteen biopic “Deliver Me From Nowhere” starring Jeremy Allen White as the famous guitarist is officially here.
In the trailer, which dropped Wednesday, fans got a first glimpse of White in the titular role as The Boss. The Scott Cooper-directed film follows Springsteen as he works on his sixth album, 1982’s “Nebraska.”
The 20th Century Studios film also stars Jeremy Strong as the singer’s longtime manager and record producer Jon Landau, as well as Marc Maron, Stephen Graham, Odessa Young and Paul Walter Hauser, among others.
Social media users on X, formerly Twitter, reacted over the trailer, with many speculating that White’s portrayal of Springsteen could land him his first Oscar award.

Looks amazing. Great choice for the lead actor. Great choice for the focus on that period in Springsteen’s career.

While some social media users admitted to being hesitant about the film (understandably so considering the string of failed biopics over the years), Springsteen himself has apparently been “really supportive of the film,” White told GQ back in August.

Meanwhile, Springsteen, who was involved in the making of the film, has sung praises over White’s performance.
“He’s got an interpretation of me that I think the fans will deeply recognize, and he’s just done a great job, so I’ve had a lot of fun,” he said during an interview with Sirius XM’s E Street Radio back in January. “I’ve had a lot of fun being on the set when I can get there.”
Last year, White, known for his Emmy-winning role in “The Bear,” revealed that he went down the “rabbit hole” on YouTube while watching footage of Springsteen as he worked to nail down the songwriter’s powerful voice and poetic lyrics.
“There’s just so much footage,” he told GQ. “It’s really great to go down a YouTube rabbit hole and find him at all these different periods in his life and be able to listen to his speaking voice as well as his singing voice.”
He added: “That’s kind of been the deal, just listening to him a lot and watching him a lot. It’s been really fun preparing.”
