KASHIMA'S J.LEAGUE LEAD CUT AFTER DEFEAT BY MACHIDA
Kashima Antlers saw their J.League lead cut to three points after suffering a 2-1 defeat by Machida Zelvia on Saturday as second-placed Kashiwa Reysol drew 3-3 with Kyoto Sanga.
First-half goals from Yuki Soma and Daihachi Okamura gave Machida a two-goal cushion, with Yuma Suzuki's 85th effort merely a consolation for the leaders.
Kashiwa were denied victory against Kyoto when Sota Kawasaki scored five minutes from time to earn his side a share of the points.
JEONBUK MAINTAIN K LEAGUE ADVANTAGE DESPITE FC SEOUL DRAW
Jeonbuk Motors maintained their eight-point lead in South Korea despite being held 1-1 by FC Seoul on Saturday as second-placed Daejeon Citizen also drew 2-2 with Gwangju FC.
Song Min-kyu struck in first-half stoppage time for Jeonbuk to cancel out Ryu Jae-moon's opener while two goals from Vladislavs Gutkovskis helped Daejeon salvage a draw at Gwangju.
NGADEU ON TARGET AS BEIJING GUOAN GO TOP IN CHINA
Beijing Guoan went top of the Chinese Super League on goal difference above Shanghai Shenhua after Cameroonian defender Michael Ngadeu's goal gave them a 1-0 win over Qingdao West Coast on Tuesday.
Defending champions Shanghai Port beat Henan FC 3-1 on Wednesday to remain fourth. REUTERS
