They say “you get what you pay for,” but that’s not strictly true, is it? Over years of working in the beauty industry, I’ve had the luxury of trying every kind of product, from budget-friendly mascaras, to ultra lavish and cray-cray expensive face creams. The truth is, when it comes to luxury products, the key is whether it over-exceeds your expectations, feels sumptuous or leaves your skin/face/body/hair looking or feeling better than before. To me, that’s the mark of success. Its price or it’s shelf-appeal – that stuff is secondary.
